Kambo
Kambo is the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor, the Giant Monkey Frog of the Amazon rainforest. For centuries it has been used by indigenous tribes including the Matses, Katukina, and Mayoruna peoples as a powerful healing ceremony: to purify the body, sharpen the senses, increase stamina, treat illness, and to support fertility.
The women of these tribes have long used Kambo as a fertility treatment. It is woven into their culture not as a last resort, but as a primary and trusted tradition.
The Science: A Treasure Trove of Bioactive Peptides
The first Western scientist to analyse Kambo in a laboratory was Vittorio Erspamer, the Italian pharmacologist and chemist who also discovered serotonin, and who was twice nominated for the Nobel Prize. In 1986, Erspamer concluded that Phyllomedusa bicolor contains what he described as a "fantastic chemical cocktail with potential medical applications, unequalled by any other amphibian", a treasure trove of bioactive peptides unlike anything else found in nature.
To date, sixteen bioactive peptides have been isolated from the Kambo secretion. Scientific research on these compounds has been ongoing since the 1960s, and there are currently over 70 Kambo-related peptide patents lodged, primarily in the USA, as pharmaceutical companies and researchers attempt to harness and replicate their extraordinary properties.
What makes Kambo peptides remarkable is that they are bioactive: each one performs a specific, beneficial function within the human body. The 4-Session Plan
We recommend completing all four sessions within a focused 4-5 week period. Session 1 begins your journey, and Sessions 2-4 are completed within a 10-day window. You will receive priority scheduling throughout to ensure continuity and momentum. Claire will guide you on booking dates.
If required, Claire will speak with each partner separately by phone or video call before sessions begin, respecting confidentiality while ensuring a complete picture of each person's unique landscape.
Session 1: Kambo Initiation — Building the Foundation
Duration: 4 hours
Your first session is a gentle, grounded introduction to Kambo. A small amount of Kambo (3-5 points) is applied to the upper arm or lower leg, allowing the body to meet the Kambo safely and clearly, without overwhelm.
This session serves as both an assessment and an initiation. Claire reads how your body responds, establishes your individual sensitivity, and begins building the personalised protocol that will guide Sessions 2-4.
Sessions 2–4: Personalised Treatment Series
In Sessions 2-4, Kambo is applied with precision to the specific acupuncture, chakra, nadi, marma, and auricular points identified as most relevant to each partner's fertility picture. The Kambo is no longer simply introduced, it is directed.
Each session is tailored to your current physical health, emotional state, and the shifts that have occurred since the last treatment. The programme evolves with you.
The 4-hour structure for all 4 sessions:
Kambo ceremony: Kambo Fertility application, full body purge, and held space. The Kambo experience lasts around 20-30 minutes.
Integration rest: the body processes, the mind settles, the medicine completes its work
Nourishment and reflection: food, grounded conversation, and session debrief
