Preparation For Your One Dot Kambo

The following instructions are specific to One Dot Kambo sessions. For preparation information on our full Kambo ceremonies, please visit the Kambo Session Preparation page.

One Dot Kambo has a shorter fasting requirement than a full Kambo ceremony. Please read the guidance below carefully as it differs from standard Kambo preparation.

Fasting & Diet

Unlike the strict diets often required before psychedelic plant medicine ceremonies, you can eat normally in the days and weeks before your One Dot Kambo session.

You must fast for at least 4 hours before your One Dot Kambo session. Please do not eat or drink anything in the 4 hours before your session unless instructed.

Avoid alcohol and recreational drugs for at least 24 hours before and after your session.

If you need further guidance, please contact us, we’re happy to support you.

What to Wear and Bring to Your Session

Wear comfortable clothing , gym wear is ideal. Your practitioner will recommend placement of your One Dot Kambo point, which may be on your arm, leg, chest, or back depending on your specific needs.

Please bring a full change of clothes just in case. Although you will not purge during a One Dot Kambo session, you may still perspire and want to change after.

Suggested items:

  • Shorts

  • Vest or tank top

  • Jogging bottoms or leggings

  • Warm hoodie or jumper

  • Warm socks

  • Sports bra or open-back top (for women)

Your comfort is a priority. Sessions are held in the strictest confidence so you can relax and focus entirely on your experience.

Note: Kambo points are never placed on the head, face, breasts, nipples, or genitals. All placement is agreed between you and your practitioner before the session begins.

Medicines & Supplements

Please follow the guidance your practitioner gives you regarding medication and supplements. If you’re unsure, message us on WhatsApp before your session.

It is important that your medications are not affected during the session. We will work with you to time doses appropriately.

Mental & Emotional Preparation

Even in a One Dot Kambo session, your emotional presence helps shape the experience.

Take some time in the days before your session to tune in. You might journal, meditate, walk in nature, or simply reflect. Ask yourself:

What am I ready to let go of?

What do I want to call in?

You do not need to share your intentions unless you choose to. Unlike traditional talk therapy, One Dot Kambo does not require you to revisit or explain your past. This makes it particularly suited to those who want to work with what they are carrying without needing to relive it.

For your safety, we need to know about any recreational or pharmaceutical drug use. There is absolutely no judgement, but it’s important we are aware of any behaviours, such as regular alcohol use, cannabis, or emotional eating patterns. This helps us support you safely and effectively.
