How Much Does Kambo Cost in the UK? Kambo Prices Explained

If you're considering Kambo, one of your first questions will probably be, "How much does Kambo cost?"

At The Kambo Clinic, our ceremonies start from £100 per person.

Public group: £100 pp
Private hosted groups: £150 to £100 pp
Private one-to-one: £210

We also offer a discount for clients who choose to complete three sessions within 28 days.

But when you're comparing Kambo prices and practitioners, I would encourage you to look beyond the number on the booking page. There can be a huge difference between what one practitioner includes in a Kambo ceremony and what another considers to be the same service.

At The Kambo Clinic, every ceremony includes your preparation and screening, Kambo ceremony, bottled water, practitioner support throughout, proper time to rest and recover, food and nourishment afterwards, aftercare and access to practitioner support following your ceremony.

Whether you attend one of our small public groups or book privately, these things don't change. We provide a complete service.

WHY THE CHEAPEST KAMBO CEREMONY ISN'T ALWAYS THE BEST VALUE

Kambo prices in the UK vary considerably. You will find ceremonies that cost less than ours and others that cost considerably more.

Neither automatically tells you whether you're going to receive good care.

What I would be looking at is everything surrounding the Kambo itself. How experienced is the practitioner? How thoroughly are they screening you? How many people are they responsible for during the ceremony? How much time have they allocated to you? What happens if you need assistance? Are you given proper time to rest and eat afterwards? Is aftercare included?

These things matter far more to me than whether somebody is charging £20 or £30 less.

Kambo isn't an easy ceremony. For those 20 to 30 minutes, I want you to know that the person looking after you has the experience, time and capacity to actually look after you.

GROUP SIZE REALLY MATTERS

At The Kambo Clinic, our public ceremonies have a maximum of five people, and that is very deliberate.

During Kambo, you may need practical support. You might need help getting up or need to be guided safely to and from the bathroom. Sometimes two people need you at the same time. As a practitioner, you need to be able to respond to what is happening in the room rather than simply hoping everybody can look after themselves.

This is why I don't believe Kambo should become a numbers game.

Our private hosted groups can start from two people upwards and cost between £150 and £100 per person depending on the number attending. We arrange these privately so we can plan the space and level of practitioner support properly.

For any privately arranged group of more than eight people, we include a second practitioner or appropriately trained assistant. For me, that is simply part of holding a larger group responsibly.

DON'T JUST ASK HOW MUCH KAMBO COSTS. ASK WHAT'S INCLUDED.

Two Kambo ceremonies can cost exactly the same amount and be completely different experiences.

Our £100 public group price is possible because you are sharing your ceremony with a maximum of four other clients. It isn't cheaper because we have stripped things out.

You still receive the preparation and screening. You still have practitioner support. We still provide bottled water. You still have proper time to rest afterwards. You still sit down and eat before you leave. You still receive aftercare.

I want group Kambo to be accessible, but I don't want accessible to mean rushed or impersonal.

"LUNCH-HOUR KAMBO" IS NOT SOMETHING I RECOMMEND

The active Kambo experience itself typically lasts around 20 to 30 minutes, but that doesn't mean the entire experience should be squeezed into your lunch break.

You have fasted before arriving. You prepare for your ceremony, receive your Kambo and go through the active experience. Once the Kambo is removed, you rest, recover and eat. When you're ready, you leave and get on with your life.

There is no expected downtime afterwards because your immediate recovery happens with us at the clinic.

For me, trying to compress the whole process into the shortest possible appointment misses an important part of properly held Kambo.

Fasting, having Kambo, drinking a protein shake and immediately driving home isn't how I choose to practise. There is simply no reason to rush you.

FOOD AND RECOVERY ARE PART OF THE EXPERIENCE

You have fasted before your ceremony and you may have purged. I believe giving you proper time to sit down, eat and allow your body to recover is part of the experience, not an optional extra.

At The Kambo Clinic, we provide food after your ceremony. Depending on the session, this can include hummus, crackers, bread, fruit, dried fruit, soup, peanut butter, salad and couscous.

You can eat, rest and talk if you want to. If you'd rather sit quietly for a while, that's fine too.

Then, when you're ready, you leave and continue with your normal life.

I don't consider handing somebody a protein shake on their way out of the door to be the same as providing proper time for food, rest and recovery.

EXPERIENCE MATTERS

When choosing a Kambo practitioner, please ask about their experience.

Don't just ask how long they have held a certificate. Ask how many ceremonies they have actually facilitated. Ask about their training, how they screen clients, what contraindications they check, how many people they work with at once and what happens if somebody needs additional support.

Ask what happens afterwards too. Is there aftercare? Can you contact them if you have a question?

You are trusting another person to guide you through an intense experience. You should feel completely comfortable asking them these questions before you book.

PRIVATE OR GROUP KAMBO?

There isn't a right or wrong answer here. It depends on you.

Some people love the privacy of a one-to-one ceremony and having their practitioner's complete attention. Others enjoy experiencing Kambo alongside a small group.

We also arrange private hosted ceremonies for couples, friends, families, training groups and other groups who want to experience Kambo together.

What matters to me isn't whether you choose private or group Kambo. It's whether the ceremony is being properly held and whether there are enough experienced people in the room to support everyone taking part.

SO, WHAT ARE YOU ACTUALLY PAYING FOR?

When you book Kambo, you're not simply paying for what is applied to your points.

You're paying for the preparation and screening before you arrive, the experience of the practitioner looking after you, the environment you're entering, appropriate group sizes, support throughout your ceremony, bottled water, time to recover, food afterwards and aftercare once you leave.

So when you're comparing Kambo prices in the UK, don't simply ask, "Who is cheapest?"

Ask, "What am I actually getting for my money?"

Kambo isn't an easy ceremony. If you've decided you want to experience it, don't do yourself the injustice of choosing a rushed ceremony, an inexperienced practitioner or an environment focused on numbers simply because it saves you a small amount of money.

You don't need luxury or theatrics.

You need experience, time, attention and proper care.

At The Kambo Clinic, that's what you're paying for.
